Summer weddings around the nation!

Have a glimpse at some of the different summer weddings to take place around the nation! Areen & Maria are headed to Los Angeles to host a fun, ritzy affair. They wanted a simple and classy invitation that was youthful at the same time. We decided on textued papers assembled in a velvet brown pocketfold, and detailed the main invitation with gold foil printing. Aditi & Mick are tying the knot in New Jersey and wanted to create something exceptionally unique. In addition to their various event inserts, we created a wooden reception insert with a traditional doli motif engraved at the very bottom. The entire set complimented their Jodha-Akbar theme wedding with a Moghul era gate design. Last but certainly not least, Tara & Vikas hosted their fabulous wedding in the DC Metropolitan area. From the power point slides to recipe boards, they used endless creative ideas to bring style and harmony to their big day! Pictured below are their wedding ceremony programs and reception schedule of events.

New Photographs by Photographick Studios

Well, “new” is a relative term. Truth be told, Sunny Mathur of Photographick Studios took these photographs for us several months ago and we are just now getting to post them! They include a range of projects we have been working on in the past few months - everything from Corporate Galas to Wedding Invitations. Sunny was kind enough to also put together a video highlighting the best images, complete with a soundtrack by Frank Sinatra. Be sure to check out the video, and also to visit Sunny’s Blog to see some of his gorgeous photographs!

More from Saima & Neeshal's Wedding

Just weeks before Saima & Neeshal’s fabulous wedding weekend in Puerto Rico, as we were finalizing final details for their wedding day programs, reception menu cards and table numbers, welcome boards and the like, we got a phone call from the couple - inviting us to celebrate the events with them! The couple hosted our stay at the breath-taking Gran Melia Resort where their wedding events were to take place. Not only did we have the time of our life, but we felt truly honored to have such gracious clients turned friends!

Witnessing the events first hand and how much their guests appreciates all of the well thought out details was a treat. Shetal Vyas and the No. 29 Events Team ensured that each event was planned and executed perfectly, Matthew Robins Design added class and elegance in decor and finally, Jonathan Rubin and the Studio Nine team captured it all on film and video! The below photographs are courtesy of Studio Nine, Enjoy!

The Hill says, "Pencil in a date with ZOYA Couture"

A few weeks ago we received a few copies of Capitol Area newspaper The Hill with a post it note to take a look at Page 27 - and there it was, an article written by Jennifer Swift titled “All Things Wedding“. In the article, the writer outlines tips and tricks to create a beautiful and unique wedding and directs readers to set a date with ZOYA Couture for wedding invitations. We are elated, and honored to be recommended in the article! The Hill staff also invited us to join them at the Washington Press Club Foundation’s 66th Annual Congressional Dinner After-Party held at the Mandarin Oriental weeks after, which proved to be an excellent networking opportunity!

Ask The Experts Series - OneWed

Last year we joined OneWed.com‘s Ask The Experts team, providing insights and advice to brides-to-be.Today’s column addressed how to create a Unified Look without being overly “matchy”. In December’s column we advised a budget DIY Bride on whimsical, fun decor that she and her friends could put together on their own.

“Since you’re not serving dinner, consider setting up a “dessert lounge”. Gather a set of fun and unique serving dishes from your closest friends and family and fill them with home made treats. Your guests will appreciate the thought and personal touch - and your friends will love having their serving dishes and homemade specialties become a part of your big day!”

New Blog!

Thank you to our patient readers for bearing with our blog migration. This fabulous new layout will allow for larger, clearer photographs of our work. Thank you also to Jenn Link of Jenn Link Photography for inviting us to use this platform. For your convenience posts from the previous year in the last blog have been imported over.

In celebration of our blog re-launch, we’re posting a sneak peak of the Westinghouse Charity Ball Invitation, as captured by Sunny Mathur of Photographick Studios. This particular piece is an instant favorite, as it incorporates an engraving technique on slender pieces of wood. This worked very well for a single insert invitation, and is also recommended as an out of the box idea for Menu Cards.

PinkSutra Article

PinkSutra recently published an article we composed for their Ideas and Advice Blog. Excerpt Below!

“Every wedding has its own charm, and couples today have found innovative new ways to communicate their story.
Wedding stationery is no exception. From save the dates to menu cards, a little ethnic flair can be fused with modern layouts to create an ambiance that your guests are sure to remember. At ZOYA Couture, we get it - you want to acknowledge your heritage and customs, but at the same time communicate your chic and modern lifestyle. To accomplish this we recommend working with a designer that is flexible and can handle custom work like incorporating religious motifs and traditional patterns.”
